Refund policy

At Scents101, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction. We accept returns and offer refunds on eligible items, subject to the conditions outlined below.

Eligibility for Refunds & Returns

To qualify for a return or refund:

  • The perfume must be unused, unopened, and sealed in its original packaging
  • The product must be in the same condition as received
  • Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery

Any item that has been opened, used, or tampered with will not be eligible for a refund.

Product Seal Requirement

For hygiene and product integrity reasons, all perfumes must remain factory sealed to qualify for a return or refund.

If the plastic wrapping, seal, or packaging has been opened, broken, or tampered with, the item will not be eligible for return or refund, even if the product appears unused.

This policy helps ensure that all customers receive new and untouched products.

Return Shipping

If a return is approved:

  • Return shipping is free
  • No restocking fees will be charged
  • The full purchase amount will be refunded once the returned item has been received and inspected

How to Request a Return

To initiate a return:

  1. Email info@scents101.co.za within 30 days of delivery
  2. Include your order number and the reason for the return

If your return is approved, we will arrange a courier collection. A return waybill will be provided, which must be printed and handed to the courier at the time of collection.

Important: Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.

Refund Process

  • Refunds are processed after the returned item has been received and inspected
  • Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method
  • Refunds are processed within 5 business days after the returned item has been received and approved

Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged or incorrect item:

  • Contact us within 36 hours of delivery
  • Provide clear details and supporting images if requested

If approved, we will arrange a replacement or a full refund at no cost to you.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Opened or used perfumes
  • Items not in original sealed packaging
  • Gift cards
  • Sale or promotional items
